Last night i went to a burlesque rock a billy themed night! And met JON THE QUIFF. His quiff was at least 20 cm tall it was a sight to behold!

Due to having nothing to do i did some more baking this is the rather lovely lemon drizzle cake i made from scratch :) I also saw a darlek in my local town of Honiton didn't have my phone handy as it was lasered off in the subsequent attack of sed darlek... Not much happened really.

Made a pie from my new cook book. Chicken, potato and leek with a filo crust and it was rather delicious!

First hot cross buns this side of Easter.

What I've never really understood though is the association of this fruit bun with the resurrection of a religious icon and most of all why the cross?! of all things to brand a patisserie why have what is a essentially a method of execution? I can't say i have ever come across a Bazooka flan nor a grenade biscuit. Also if Jesus does ever pitch up again would be a pretty insensitive thing to offer at the second coming tea party. He'd probably have a nam like flashback. Can you tell i'm not religious ;)
